Hi,
I currently have a channel labelled as "Trap". What does it mean exactly and how can this channel be "un-trapped" ?
I cannot find any local config associated to this or how this flag is set in XdccCatcher.
"Trap" Channel : Network = Abjects Channel = #moviegods
Thanks
[3.0.0.8 PRO] - How to Un "Trap" a channel?
Re: [3.0.0.8 PRO] - How to Un "Trap" a channel?
hi,
Its something that is being processed serverside.
Just let me know which channel and i'll take care of this.
For moviegods, the channel has been cleared again. So should work now.

Hi, I'm not sure I like how this "feature" works, but the channel is available once more. Thanks.
Re: [3.0.0.8 PRO] - How to Un "Trap" a channel?
The idea behind it is to avoid people getting banned because they joined the so-called honeypot channels...
There's a difference between blocked channels and trap channels.. So i might add a setting to allow 'trap' channels to be joined after all.
Trap channels are often used by server owners to detect XDCC users. There's a risk of getting banned.
Blocked channels are different as those are channels that were requested to be blocked by the owners.

In 3.0.0.9 you can disable or enable joining trap channels. Running a few more tests before releasing the PRO version.
